RadioShack POS Data
The RadioShack Corporation (formerly the Tandy Corporation) is a franchise of electronics retail stores in the United States, as well as parts of Europe, South America and Africa. RadioShack is also now one of the top retailers in wireless, offering AT&T, Sprint, and Verizon packages. Radio Shack, founded in 1921, is today one of the largest electronics retailers world-wide, operating stores in 31 countries. The company employs over 36,000 people, and has annual net income of just over $200 million. On March 31, 2015, a bankruptcy court approved a $160 million offer by the Standard General affiliate General Wireless, gaining ownership of 1,743 RadioShack locations. As part of the deal, the company entered into a partnership with Sprint, in which the company would become a co-tenant.
